COURT SESSIONS:
Scheduled dependent on Judge 4:00 p.m./5:30 p.m.  Check your letter for date and time or check with your attorney for information.

THE LAWS OF NEW YORK STATE PROHIBIT THE COURT FROM PROVIDING ANY LEGAL ADVICE OR GUIDANCE. 

VEHICLE & TRAFFIC and ANIMAL CONTROL CASES:

BE CERTAIN YOU COME TO COURT ON THE CORRECT DATE.

You Must:
A) Sign the summons/ticket you received in the area indicating our plea.  Update your address on the summons if necessary.
B) Return your signed summons/ticket to the Court by mail, by email, or in the drop box or at the Court during business hours.

Not Guilty Plea:
You will be notified in wriging by mail when to personally appear in Court to discuss your case with the Town Prosecutor.

Guility Plea:
Once the Court receives your ticket indicating a Guilty Plea, the Judge will then review your case.  The Court will notify you by mail of the disposition/fine.

CRIMINAL MATTERS:

At arraignment you will be provided with written confirmation of your next scheduled Court date.

You must provide the Court with your preferred method of contact by either cell phone, email or USPS mailing delivery address.

SUMMARY PROCEEDINGS a/k/a EVICTIONS:

File the necessary paperwork and pay the filing fee with the Town of Concord Justice Court.  Your case will be transferred to the Erie County Landlord Tenant Hub Court.  The HUB Court will then contact all parties by mail for their appearance dates.  

SMALL CLAIMS:

Small Claims proceedings are claims for money only, up to $3,000, against individuals or entities who reside, work or are doing business within the Town of Concord.

Justice Courts in New York State do not have the authority to order the return of any personal items.

After you file the paperwork and submit the filing fee, the parties will be notified in writing when to appear.

PAYMENTS:

Fine payments are to be payable to "Town of Concord Justice Court."

Fines may be paid in person during business hours or deposited in the drop box locateds at the side entrace of the Town Hall.

Cash, certified bank check,or money order.
The Court accepts Mastercard and Visa.  The credit card company will charge you a fee to pay by credit card. (2.99% charge applies)
Personal Checks are not accepted.
Cash payments in-person only.  You may leave cash payments in the dropbox IF you use secured envelope with your information inside the envelope.

ONLY THE COURT CAN ASSIST OU WITH COURT MATTERS.  PLEASE BE KIND TO OTHER EMPLOYEES IN THE BUILDING.  Do NOT leave Court paperwork and/or payments with other offices in the Town Hall building.
